Golfing in Hawaii
When one thinks of Hawaii, golfing probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. But the truth is that Hawaii has some of the best golfing you'll find in the entire world. In fact, the majority of professional golfer have Hawaii pegged as their favorite destination. Hawaii is actually home to several of the top resort golf courses in the United States. Each resort possess beautiful signature golf course designed by golfing legends such as Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. They were present quite a challenge having to design each hole around the many hills, cliffs, beaches and lava fields, but they all did a superb job which is why Hawaii has become such a popular golfing destination in recent years. In all, there are more the 80 golf course in Hawaii. Since there are so many golf courses to choose from in Hawaii, we're going to focus on our favorite golfing destination, located in Maui. It's the prestigious Wailea Golf Club. This golfer's paradise was rated one of the top 5 golf resorts in the United States by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. The resort features three courses, named The Gold, The Emerald, and The Blue, with The Gold course being our top choice. The Gold course is also the most challenging of the Wailea trio and was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It has an elevation difference of over 200 feet which makes the views of the ocean and mountains really stand out.
